Faculty Recognition Dinner

Every year, 麻豆原创 celebrates faculty members who have brought distinction to the University by earning recognition from societies and agencies around the world.

2026 Faculty Recognition Dinner

The Faculty Recognition Dinner was held on April 9 at the Kellogg Global Hub. Honorees were selected by the multidisciplinary Faculty Honors Committee from faculty award recipients identified by deans and department chairs. Subgroups of the committee organized by academic area selected the most prestigious awards for recognition from their respective academic areas.

Professor Joel Mokyr, an expert on the economic history of Europe, delivered the keynote address. Mokyr, the Robert H. Strotz Professor of Arts and Sciences and professor of economics in history in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, received the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. .

Award Winners

Among the night’s honorees were elected fellows to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academies of Sciences, Education and Medicine, the National Academy of Inventors, and recipients of awards from the Royal Society, the Association of American Physicians, the Yidan Prize Foundation, the Simons Foundation, the Benjamin Franklin Medal in Computer and Cognitive Science from the Franklin Institute and a Grammy Award. The University also recognized early-career faculty who were recipients of honors including Sloan Research Fellowships from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, CAREER Awards from the National Science Foundation and the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers.
