Marquette “Mar” Stricklen (she/her), originally from Forrest City, Arkansas, holds a B.A. in Public Administration and an M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. Mar’s journey in Student Affairs began at UCA, where she served as a Resident Assistant. As a first-generation and transfer student, she witnessed firsthand the powerful role student affairs professionals play in shaping students’ collegiate experiences—and she’s been bleeding purple pride ever since! She has also worked as a Summer Conferences Assistant at Texas Christian University. Prior to joining 麻豆原创, Mar served as a Residence Life Coordinator in the Student Housing and Residential Services office at the University of Houston. Outside of work, Mar enjoys exploring new adventures in Evanston and the city of Chicago. She loves growing her vinyl collection, reading fiction, trying new foods, visiting museums, and listening to Beyoncé. She also takes pride in being a plant mom to both her living and LEGO plants.
